There are various types of fish that can be caught off the coast of Play Gigante, Nicaragua. Some of the most common species include snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi, and yellowfin. The best time to fish in this area typically from November to May.  Although fishing year-round is the livelihood of the fishermen of Playa Gigante and our boat Captains can supply the Fishing Equipment, or you can bring your own.

Panga boats are launched and returned in Playa Gigante by using a simple yet effective method. The boats are rolled to the shoreline on wood logs & pushed into the water by a group of people, and when it's time to return, they strategically use motor power to ride back onto the shore and a team of people reposition the boat manually, once again with the help of the wood logs. Our boat captains use the utmost caution in safely launching and returning you back to shore.  Maximum Occupancy 8 people and can be arranged to "panga-pool" with others in the area looking to book a Panga and share the cost.
